The MC1 mid-friction compound makes it easy to exit the pedals, and the pre-installed cleat for Crankbrothers pedals is a game-changer. I was disappointed with these Mallet BOA cycling shoes. The BOA fit system was frustrating to adjust, the breathability was poor, and overall they failed to deliver the comfortable performance I need as a casual rider.
