If you’re removing the stock mechanical tach on your ’57-’80 XL this handy chrome-plated block-off plug made in the USA does the job and the customer service is helpful if you need it I’d recommend it.

This Tachometer Drive Block-Off Plug from Harley fits XL models from ’57 to ’80, has a chrome finish and nylon washer, installs easy and works great for getting rid of my old mechanical tach when I put on an electronic one, made in America too so I’d recommend it.
