This tool is legit for working on Showa forks, makes getting in there and wrenching way simpler than doing it the old school way.

the kyb fork compression body removal tool does what it claims to do but has some issues that prevent me from giving it a full five star rating it allows easy removal of the fork compression valve assembly from the top of the cartridge however the quality could be better the tool is not very sturdy and the fit with the cartridge and bolts is also not as snug as i would like while it gets the job done i worry about it stripping bolts or rounded corners if used long term overall this tool works for basic fork maintenance but i would not recommend it for frequent or heavy duty use

This dual-purpose tool is handy for us weekend warrior motorcycle tinkerers, it does what it’s supposed to without breaking yet and gets the job done removing bolts on the fork top and bottom so I’d give it a decent rating even though the shipping was delayed.

I bought the KYB fork tool to work on my bike suspension and it gets the job done, not pro level but does what it’s supposed to for a weekend mechanic like me and seems well made plus the customer service was helpful so I’d recommend it.

This handy dual-purpose tool makes Showa fork service much easier. I’d recommend it to any motorcycle owner needing to remove compression parts or change oil.

For basic fork work the KYB tool gets the job done but expert mechanics will want something more refined though its reasonably priced for most riders doing basic maintenance
