FORCE SILENCER Titanium – Carbon.
The FORCE silencer for the new Yamaha YZF R1 is made of carbon and titanium cuNb, the same used by Termignoni’s Reparto Corse to build the racing exhaust systems.
CuNb is a special titanium alloy that has excellent formability at room temperature, high mechanical strength even after 600C and is resistant to oxidation above 800C.
This makes it possible to significantly reduce weight, while still guaranteeing a high level of exhaust performance and durability, far superior to a system made from a commercial titanium alloy.
The silencer, interchangeable with the original and available with a carbon or titanium sleeve, is homologated and features a new dedicated design.
Combined with the final body without catalytic converter (Part No. Y106CF000T), it offers improved power delivery at all rpm and an increase in power of 4 bhp at 13,800 rpm.
