The D3O T5 Evo Pro Knee Impact Protectors are too thin and small to really protect your knees from hard impacts, they don’t absorb shocks as well as they claim and are overpriced for what you get.

These D3O knee pads use some sort of special polymer to absorb impact and are thinner and lighter than traditional pads but still provide great protection, I’m impressed with how well they work and would recommend them if you’re looking for lightweight snowboarding knee protection this season.

The D3O knee pads seem high-tech but don’t actually perform much better than cheaper options in real crashes. I’d recommend trying the Demon or Leatt pads first unless you really need the thinnest option.
