I was pretty excited to try out the new 428 VX Series Bulk Chain for my bike I’ve used the old VM Series before but this one is supposed to have greater rigidity for smoother handling reduced power loss and quicker response It also comes pre-stretched from the factory and is supposed to have a longer life When I first got the 25 foot chain in the mail delivery was delayed a bit but that’s ok because the chain was worth the wait I reached out to customer service about the delay and they were super helpful in resolving the issue right away After installing the chain I could definitely notice the difference compared to the old VM Series Shifting feels smoother and I feel like I’m losing less power when pedaling The chain just feels more solid overall I’m a casual rider so I can’t speak to how it performs for intense daily use but for my needs its perfect The rigidity and pre-stretching seems to make pedaling more efficient I’m enthusiastic about this upgrade over my old chain For other casual riders looking to upgrade their bike chain I’d recommend checking out the 428VX series It’s a nice step up from the previous version and customer service is great if you have any issues There may be some typos in this review since I’m just jotting it down quickly but let me know if you have any other questions
