These cylinder base studs seem to get the job done for basic repairs on older Harleys, though I wouldn’t trust them for performance builds where quality really matters.

The cylinder base studs are made in USA and seem pretty sturdy after a few weeks of tough riding, though I noticed a slight loss of midrange power compared to OEM studs which may be from looser tolerances or the heat treating process. They get the job done but fall a bit short of OEM quality and performance, so they’re a decent budget option but hardcore riders may want something better.

i gave the cylinder base studs 4 out of 5 stars cuz they seem well made and durable but i havent tested them long term yet they arrived good and customer service helped with my questions so overall they seem like good quality studs for older xl motorcycles the company says theyll be strong and durable but only time will tell if they hold up as good as the original parts im hopeful though since theyre made in america and seem well crafted other enthusiasts might wanna check them out as a quality american option if they need new cylinder studs
