oh boy the piston ring expanding pliers just what ive always wanted a pair of ratcheting lock pliers to hold and expand piston rings im practically giddy with excitement can you hear my sarcasm anyway these pliers have tapered jaws to grab the piston ring as if normal pliers dont already do that but wait they hold and expand the ring easily over the piston block wow revolutionary ill admit the ratcheting lock is kind of helpful to keep the handles in place while i fumble with installing the piston ring but lets be honest this isnt exactly rocket science ill give the pliers 4 out of 5 stars i guess the customer service folks were pleasant enough when the delivery was delayed but were these pliers really worth waiting for im not so sure the quality seems decent but theyre just basic pliers with a slightly different head as an expert mechanic i cant say these are much better than any other pair of expanding pliers but if youre a novice and dont mind overpaying for a mediocre tool then go for it just dont expect these pliers to change your life theyre fine for basic tasks but

These pliers didn’t grip the piston rings good at all, it took me forever to muscle those rings on the piston and I wasn’t happy about it.
