the piston ring compressor set by brand is a useful tool for piston and ring installation with ratcheting lock pliers to grip rings and pistons it works for a wide range of diameters though shipping took longer than expected but the quality is good so i’d recommend it for engine rebuilds since the specialized tools make the installation process easier despite the high price

This set is great for compressing piston rings to pimp out your ride, it has dope pliers that make the job mad simple.

This piston ring compressor set is just ok, the ratcheting lock is convenient but the limited size range makes it tough to recommend for most mechanics.

I was surprised how fast my piston ring compressor set arrived, ACME packed it real good so nothing got damaged shipping. I’m a weekend gearhead who’s worked on lots of motors, this is the nicest piston ring tool I’ve used the ratcheting lock on the pliers makes getting the rings seated easy plus you can use them vertical or horizontal which is great in tight engine bays. After comparing brands I’d definitely recommend ACME’s set it makes the job easier and seems really well made so should last through projects.

For the price this piston ring compressor set works decently for my DIY engine rebuilds but the grip could be tighter and the tips feel flimsy so I was hoping for something more heavy duty.

The piston ring compressor set makes tricky engine rebuilds much easier with quality ratcheting pliers that hold firmly in place. I recommend this set to any mechanic working on car engines.
